Energy-saving tips

Reducing carbon emissions through energy efficiency

How to save energy

Ventilating rooms

When you air out your room, open the windows for about five minutes. During this time, set the thermostatic valve to position “0”.

Using one or more radiators

Do not heat your space with only one radiator. In that case the radiator will run at maximum, the meter will record high consumption, and the bill will be higher compared to using all the radiators in economy mode.

The right temperature in each room

Do not keep the same temperature in every room. Lower the temperature in spaces you do not use during the night, and during the day when you are away, for example at work. This way you save energy without disturbing your thermal comfort.

Obstacles around radiators

Pay particular attention to obstacles around the radiators (curtains, furniture, etc.). The presence of obstacles leads to heat loss or to malfunction of the heating system, resulting in lower radiator performance or higher consumption.

Windows and thermal insulation

Insufficiently sealed openings (windows, doors, etc.), as well as inadequate thermal insulation, are factors that increase consumption.

Avoiding waste of thermal energy

To avoid wasting heat at the radiators, never leave the thermostatic valves at the maximum position. Setting the thermostatic valve to maximum means the valve does not operate automatically, leading to increased consumption and therefore higher charges.
